It's pretty good, the only thing I would change would be to draw a contrast between lobbyists and regular working families (the pics of forclosed houses hints at this, but is used in a negative association more than anything else), and have the word "lie" in there somewhere, but it's a good ad for the internet.
The Post quoted Lieberman as saying, "Protecting our citizens from terrorist attacks is a top priority for our government....by taking action to curtail the use of YouTube to disseminate the goals and methods of those who wish to kill innocent civilians..."
I was glad to receive the links for these videos, but the whole handling of the recounts in the US today still remains a disheveled mess, with no regard to ethics or the value of the sanctity of ballots. Again, a very sad statement on the state of our Republic.
Will your vote in November really be cast properly, and if a recount is required will it be handled responsibly and accurately?

(The Dodd team is all over the coverage of tonight's CNN/YouTube Democratic debate, as usual... - promoted by tparty)
As promised, here are Senator Dodd's answers to the top rated YouTube user submitted questions. Senator Dodd answered these four questions because they were the favorites listed by Community Counts, a site that's allowed visitors to vote on which questions the Presidential candidates should be asked.
Without further ado, Dodd's answers to the top four YouTube user-submitted questions:
Brian David Anderson was arrested in Spain in March, but you don't hear a thing as his ties to the card carrying Republican Al Qaeda terrorist Abdul Tawala Ibn Ali Alishtari are going unreported in the American MSM. Hundreds of people defrauded, MILLIONS in fraud, terrorism ties, BUT nothing from the MSM.
A Canadian under investigation in British Columbia and Ontario for allegedly scamming millions from investors was arrested in Spain yesterday for his suspected role in financing terrorist training camps.
Spanish police said they had arrested businessman Brian David Anderson at a Madrid hotel for his alleged involvement in financing terrorist camps in Afghanistan.
The arrest followed a joint investigation led by the FBI, which arrested Mr. Anderson's business partner, Abdul Tawala Ibn Ali Alishtari of New York, on terror financing charges last month.
Check out this behind the scenes video I shot before Senator Dodd's appearance on "Real Time with Bill Maher" last Friday night. The video was filmed in Senator Dodd's hotel room in Des Moines, Iowa.
(It's always worth keeping an eye on current and upcoming labor actions: the All Star Bus Company is a regional provider in NW Connecticut, so letters to your local Board of Ed (CC'd to All Star, of course) might clarify matters for the company somewhat. - promoted by mattw)
"Over the past year, the company has met continually with the union to iron out a fair economical contract that both sides could live with. Both sides have bargained in good faith and have a respectable relationship with each other. The company and the union understand that this is a new contract with several obstacles. A final proposed contract was offered to the union negotiating team on Friday. The union refused to recommend the contract, so it was withdrawn. All-Star Transportation urges the drivers to return to their job, which is servicing the students, parents and the Board of Education of the community of New Milford."
Here I thought it was All-Star's job, "servicing the students, parents and the Board of Education of the community of New Milford", since they were the company that signed the contracts with the city's school system. The drivers job is to drive a bus for All Star. Anyways...
I stopped by and talked to the drivers that are picketing out front of All-Star and asked them about the situation from their POV. Their complaints stem from the fact that they are paid about $2 per hour less than bus drivers in nearby communities. All they were asking for was a $1 raise. Respond to this video question from Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) via comments, e-mails, letters and most importantly a DIY Impeachment petition of memorial.
Lightman's piece in today's Hartford Courant on campaign videos, independent YouTube videos and the role blogs are playing now is a surprisingly positive look at how citizen driven media and the viral distribution of video is influencing politics. Lightman interviews a number of blogger experts including Matt Stoller and Joshua Levy. Remarkably the article fails to mention the Ned Lamont campaign and the Nedheads work on YouTube.
Our pal Jane Hamsher has a great take on the role blogs are playing in influencing the Democratic nominee and the distance that still exists between the grassroots power of the blogs and the message control of big name candidates.
Among liberal bloggers, for instance, there's still uncertainty about who's the favorite.
"Do I think we set much of the agenda?" asked Jane Hamsher, a Middletown author who founded the liberal blog firedoglake.com. "Well, I don't think Hillary really needs us, she just needs us not to be against her.
"Likewise Obama. I do think there are other candidates to whom our support could be more critical," she said.
"Right now there is a pervasive `wait and see' attitude, a desire to see how things shake out before committing one way or another," she said. "It's a long time until November 2008."
I think this is a very sober, sharp analysis of the role blogs are can play in this election. Our impact can only be negative on Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, but could fuel a grassroots insurgency for other candidates (Edwards, Richardson, and Dodd come to mind).
There's no need to fetishize the blogosphere and Lightman's piece strikes a balance between recognizing some very compelling aspects of campaigning online and the drawbacks that go with it. It's not surprising that Lightman's understanding is slightly disjointed and clunky -- he is a dead-tree journalist after all -- but on whole, this is a pretty good piece.

I'm playing right into their hands. I bet James Rogan pitched it like this (to be read with a British accent): "If I make a film about bloggers, it'll get all sorts of amateur buzz marketing. Think Snakes on a Plane meets Roger & Me."
You should keep in mind that when interviews for this film were first taped, that Snakes on a Plane had not yet bombed at the box office. Of course, because I have such great taste in movies (for example, I don't care for Star Wars), I enjoyed the motherfuckin' snake movie.
