Why is a Connecticut blogger (and erstwhile Iowa resident) now out in Des Moines onstage with Rudolpho Giuliani? Inquiring minds want to know! Have we a traitor in our midst??
Ned Lamont might not have won the Senate race, but his courage in putting the Iraq War front and center was the spark that lit a fire of anti-war sentiment, resulting in the Dems taking back Congress. If only our Senators, who just passed the Survelliance Act, had Ned's cojones. If only Ned were our Senator....
Just like in Connecticut last year, the Democratic Party is split between two factions. Until Lamont, it seemed as if the faction headed now by Hillary Clinton always seemed to win. One year ago today, we changed that. It is time for us to make the Democratic Party more like us and less like the other guys. We've done it before, now let's do it again.
If you ever needed proof that Hillary was Bush/Cheney/Lieberman Light, all you had to do was watch her in last night's debate.
Lamont rocked the house, and there was so much energy in the crowd. We finally won one guys - but there's still much work to do on this race. For you guys, that means I'll be making more trips up to CT to help out.
I'll post a final comprehensive review tomorrow night - I'm extremely tired now, and I have to get started on the 90-minute drive home. Thanks to everyone for being here. I hope I made y'all feel as if you were here for this.
Damn, it feels good to win.
We should all take comfort in knowing that nothing has changed over at Dump Joe, a website that is unfortunately still necessary.

Below is the thank you note from Spazemom. When I spoke to her yesterday, she asked if I'd received it. I had not yet, but what she told me was that she's glad that she wrote it before she received printouts of the blog postings from Spazeboy.net and My Left Nutmeg--she was at a loss for words. I finally found an effective way to hush my mother!

(Cross-Posted from Spazeboy) I don't even know what else to say. I checked out the Amazon Pay Page this afternoon and saw that $400 had rolled in over the last 2 days (I put it up at around noon on Thursday). All together, I have received the $500 that my mom needs to get her transmission fixed.
Thank you so much!
So once I saw the good news, I knew that I couldn't sit on it any longer. All through this process, I've avoided telling my mom that I was telling her story on the internet and soliciting contributions. I figured that if I got none that what she didn't know wouldn't hurt her, and if I did raise the funds that she wouldn't be too picky about where they came from.

I'm playing right into their hands. I bet James Rogan pitched it like this (to be read with a British accent): "If I make a film about bloggers, it'll get all sorts of amateur buzz marketing. Think Snakes on a Plane meets Roger & Me."
You should keep in mind that when interviews for this film were first taped, that Snakes on a Plane had not yet bombed at the box office. Of course, because I have such great taste in movies (for example, I don't care for Star Wars), I enjoyed the motherfuckin' snake movie.
