We'll see your fundraiser...and raise you $438,000 (4.00 / 3)
Here is a letter from MoveOn with the fundraising totals for Allen, and others:

Dear MoveOn member,

I just wanted to let you know the good news: in less than 72 hours we raised a total of $438,000 to help anti-war Democrats in Congress and beat Joe Lieberman. Thank you so much for being a part of this effort.

Lieberman's fundraiser for pro-war Senator Susan Collins cost about $3,000 per person to attend. I know folks like us mostly don't have that kind of money—our average donation was $61—but over 7,070 of us donated. Collins isn't releasing her numbers yet—a sign that the event wasn't very strong—but based on the expectations, it looks like we beat their total.

The fundraising deadline for this quarter is right around the corner and early money like this is really important. It lets the media and political analysts know that candidates who are tough on ending the war are attracting a lot of support, while pro-war candidates like Susan Collins are having trouble getting their campaigns going.

Together we can make sure the anti-war majority in America is represented in Washington DC.

Thanks for all you do,

–Eli, Nita, Noah, Daniel and the MoveOn.org Political Action Team
