My Head Hurts From Laughing

"It shows Republicans do not want Joe Lieberman in the U.S. Senate because they know he's a strong, loyal Democrat, professing Democratic values.... It also probably shows the Connecticut Republican party is cheering on Ned Lamont and applauding his strategy of tearing down Senator Lieberman."

- Lieberman campaign manager Sean Smith, on xenophobe Republican Paul Streitz's entrance into the race for senate.

A real sleaze-ball! <n/t> (0.00 / 0)

I believe (0.00 / 0)
he's the same Sean Smith who worked for Kerry in Nevada.

Did he bet away his brain at the craps table in Vegas?

[ Parent ]
Almost certain it's the same guy (0.00 / 0)
Which would mean he's not really attuned to Connecticut voters. Personally, I'd sieze upon this fact that he's from away (if he is) and use against the Lieberman campaign. There's nothing worse for a campaign than when the guy managing it becomes an issue.

Also a young Sean Smith from GWU (0.00 / 0)
who led their Young Democrat chapter there.

Have google will travel, eh? (0.00 / 0)
Knowing Lieberman he doesn't have a young guy manning his campaign. The other guy is a national Democrat so it makes more sense that it's him.

Ha! (0.00 / 0)
I think the funniest part is that they clearly think they have to convince people that the Republicans are against a Democratic incumbent. I mean, uh, isn't that normally just a given?

Running a candidate at all. Uh, yeah, that's some strong opposition those Republicans are showing.

Is Sean Smith more nuts than Paul Streitz? (0.00 / 0)
Paul Streitz is a crackpot. Big elections often attract one or two wackos trying to get their 15 minutes of fame (Ross Perot being one of the most extreme examples). Streitz is not a factor and will not be a candidate in November. Why would the Lieberman campaign even waste their time acknowledging this guy's existence? Sean Smith is supposed to be an experienced guy, but so far he's acting like an amateur. Tom Swan will kick his ass!

Can anyone hunt down a photo of this guy (0.00 / 0)
I need to put this guy on the hotseat pronto and having a photo of him would make my day.

Can anyone hook me up?

Photo of Sean Smith... (0.00 / 0)
Nevada for Kerry.

But is this Joe Lieberman's Sean Smith.

I suggest someone simply call the Lieberman campaign at 860-244-2006 to get the scoop.

Facts are facts. And if the Lieberman people don't want to be, at the minimum, honest and open with the blogosphere.... well, they need ot be!

This could bode well for Lamont (0.00 / 0)
If it's the same Sean Smith who worked for Kerry in Nevada, that could mean the DLC wing of the DINO party is still sticking to its tried and terrible practice of hiring loser consultants and campaign managers over and over again because they're plugged into the DC schmooze circuit.

Just finished "Crashing The Gates" (review sometime soon) and Markos and Jerome are blistering on the way the Dems consistently reward failure and reap more failure in return. This is one campaign in which their failure will actually do some good.

Speaking of failures, I caught Carville and Begala on CSpan's BookTV flacking their latest effort to get themselves hired again so they can lose more elections. God it was disgusting. Carville hates Dean because he's directing money away from loser consultants like Carville and Begala and spending it where it will actually do some good.
