Conference of Eminent Leftist Intellectuals & Activists in NYC

by: sufi

Fri Feb 23, 2007 at 22:44:13 PM EST

The Annual Left Forum will be held next month from Friday, Mar 9 through Sunday, Mar 11 at Cooper Union college in New York City.

For those of you who do not know, it's an awesome conference of intellectuals and activists including Amy Goodman, Cornel West, and many others.

Today, Friday Feb 23, is the deadline for pre-registering and buying tickets at a discount. Tickets are slightly more expensive at the door (sorry for the short notice)...if you're interested and would like to buy tickets before Mar 9 but after today, then please contact them for details. I went a couple of times without pre-registering and had no problem.  You can purchase tickets online here

I first started going to this conference in 2002 and have gone every year since except for last year when I had a prior commitment.

I intend to go this year as well and hope to see you there.

I admit that some of the folks at this conference are even more lefty than me--but still, I always find them very thought-provoking and always leave the conference feeling more more enlightened and inspired than before. You can see the whole program here but I will copy it below the fold:
