Who wants to host a Lamont event?

by: Kim Hynes

Fri Feb 24, 2006 at 14:03:25 PM EST

Hey everyone -

I would like to maximize Ned's time so he gets the most out of his travels hither and yon.  He will be in Groton on March 1, at 7 pm.  Can anyone point me to anything going on in that area of the state he could attend, or put a house party/meet and greet together?  Also 3/6 in the Fairfield area, and 3/8 in Torrington.  Time for all the troops to start working!

Thanks,

Kim

Do not rent out halls... Do them in homes... invite three times as many people as will fit into the house.

Perception is reality, if you get 40 people in the house it's packed. If you get 40 people in a hall it's empty. The difference is the frame when people leave... "the event was packed and filled with enthusiasm, I was able to sqeeze in and shake his hand" or "well, there were some people there..."

So, call everyone you know, send the kids out to every neighbor asking then to drop by for 5 minutes to meet CTs next Senator and plan to "pack the house". Make sure that Ned has a chance to shake EVERY hand, and ruffle every kids hair. But whatever you do, make sure the house is SRO and people have to bend around doorways becuase "everyone want to meet the next Seantor from our great state."

FRAMES people FRAMES!

The question is not what you are, we already determined that, we are now negotiating price.
