Great Comments on Joe's New Blog

by: Jon Kantrowitz

Wed Sep 06, 2006 at 11:11:06 AM EDT

You have to read the comments on Joe’s new Blog. They're great - most are polite and well-reasoned, but 95% are anti-Joe.

Anyone can comment so chime in - but be polite!

Joe says No to No to Ned (0.00 / 0)
Joe 2006 has already removed the offensive link to No to Ned and Osama bin Laden.  He also appears to be tinkering with the comments section, so get your chuckles in while you still can.
This website operates in the same manner as Joe's entire web campaign - incompetent. Who is he trying to reach? Where is the outreach and make nice nice for Democratic Connecticut voters?
Since Joe is getting support from Republicans now, he should go ahead and post positions on hot topic conservative issues such as immigration, gay marriage, religion, and gun control.

  Pathetic.

Yes, it appears that all of the negative comments on the blog and numerous phone calls to Lieberman's office paid off.  I just hope that the MSM does not ignore the fact that it was up for hours.  It would still be included but for the fact that it took a mazillion angry commenters to get the message across.  I see they are removing blogs -- is it because the system gets overloaded or they can't find enough people to counterattack the comments, which are generally anti-Joe?

I haven't been able to (0.00 / 0)
get through to the new web site. I keep getting the old "placeholder" page. (And I get a page with funky gibberish when I click the blog link above.)

Am I on Joe's blacklist? :(

Locked out too (0.00 / 0)
Maybe he's been hacked!!!!

Like we'd deliberately shut down a site where we can criticize Joe. HA!

Actually, that's the only possible reason for the Lamont campaign to hack Joe's site.  So that all of us get back to focusing on the positive and stop wasting our time laughing at how pathetic Joementum is.

Wonder if Tammy will run that one up the flagpole........

Man oh man! I see even Jesus's General has been over there getting in a few licks...

I won't bother to comment (0.00 / 0)
Had too much fun reading the comments last night.

In all seriousness, they need to get a much better handling of what blogging is all about. Their notion of it is a complete joke. And they barely have any supporters there; it's just a public dumping ground against Joe.

Lovin' it.

i'd love to. but i'm a macintosh user, and it won't display on my machine. brilliant. i wonder how many mac users are dems and how many are reps? i'd bet there're a lot more democratic mac users...

Weird - I Can get To It On Mac (0.00 / 0)
But not through the link I posted - it worked before. Try this - copy and paste:

Use this.

http://69.0.204.168/

Basically the domain name is not matching the IP address for mac users, and some non-mac users. They were either in a rush to get the site up or they're incompetent, most likely both.

Also (4.00 / 1)
On a progressive/liberal/democratic site like DailyKos a high percentage will be on macs (10-15%) and use Firefox as their browser of choice (30-45%), much higher than in the general workplace.

On rightwing/republican sites you'll see just the opposite trends, which few mac users. It's a cliche but one with a lot of truth in it that the more conservative the site the higher degree of technophobes. And Joe supporters figure to be in that crowd.

How cute, we're "Lamontsters" (0.00 / 0)
I love it - I think we should embrace that term and make it a point of pride. Sort of how "Yankee" was a derogatory term used by loyalists in colonial times and our ancestors embraced being yankees.

"I think the economic logic behind dumping a load of toxic waste in the lowest wage country is impeccable and we should face up to it."

-Lawrence Summers

I think its is "Lamonster" (0.00 / 0)
... as in Monster.  I like the French, La Monster (pronounced La Mon-STEER).  Or in my case, I guess, it should be Le Monster.

First, people who cannot access Joe's site may have an old copy cached. For a refresh with shift-refresh (Firefox) or control-refresh (IE).

Second, the link you provide in your post is http://www.myleftnut.... The error is coming from the MLN server, not Joe's.

Third, the comments on Joe's blog (Joe's ?) are priceless. Pathetic site!

I love it.  Constantly changing and so far only one blog that's actually supportive of Lieberman.  The others are just Centrist sites.

But more are going up so fast it doesn't matter - great fun!

Joe's Blog Censored My Link (0.00 / 0)
Yesterday I made a respectful post on Joe's blog asking about LieberMe's flip-flop (lies) to the Catholic Church on the issue of abortion.  When I tried to repost the same thing in a new thread today, the blog would not let me post the link.  I'm going to get the word out on his flip-flop one way or another.  Anyway, here's what I tried to post:

http://www.catholic....

The Tragedy of Joe Lieberman
8/14/2006
National Catholic Register
(partial article)

......"When he first ran for the Senate, Lieberman had heavy Catholic support. He met with Hartford Archbishop John Whealon in 1988 and handed the archbishop a pro-life pledge. Father Thomas Berry, who worked for Archbishop Whealon, is quoted in the Washington Times saying Lieberman “expressed himself against abortion, all suicide and euthanasia. His position on that definitely was well received by the archbishop and priests.”

It’s no wonder Catholics were shocked when the senator not only voted again and again in full support of abortion, but even went so far as to protect partial-birth abortion. That’s the procedure in which a doctor punctures the skull of a child who is being born. The doctor removes the child’s brain, then completes what has become a still-birth".....

......"Joe: We know you are running as an Independent against two pro-abortion candidates. Catholics would love to support you, but we can’t. We remember the old adage “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.”.....

I laughed for two hours (0.00 / 0)
I can't believe that I wasted two hours at Joes blog, but I couldn't help it.  There is some some funny comments there.  What a joke.
