Great catch as usual, Scarce. You're on fire today.
CNN: "But about an hour before Lieberman made that very promise, his Homeland Security committee was considering 4 other nominees, including one who will be crafting labor policy for the Homeland Security department. Most lawmakers only had staff at the hearings; most Senators, including Lieberman himself, were absent." –7.25 / –7.28 | http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/tw...
Do a quick Google search on her, and things do not look very good - Kos previously called her a "moron to the 9th degree": http://www.dailykos....
Newsweek's analysis - not very good: http://www.msnbc.msn...
Cutter had been the object of endless complaining by reporters and campaign staffers. She was considered too slow and too controlling, not nimble or clever. Tired of watching her berate interns and alienate reporters with vituperative e-mails after the most mildly critical stories, Kerry staffers snidely made a verb of her e-mail name (scutter@johnkerry.com). "To Scutter" meant to try to control or dominate. Its second meaning was cruder, "to f--- something up." In March reporters had begun to vent about Cutter to campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill. By May they were taking their grievances to Kerry himself. In July Kerry said to Cahill, "I'm tired of hearing complaints about Stephanie. Fix it."
Well, go see for yourself. A very depressing Google search:
