Joe Lieberman was the chairman of the Homeland Securiry Committee in the Senate when that bill was written and confirmed "your doing a heck of a job" Brownie after a whoppig 42 minute confirmation hearing.

Everyting Joe Lieberman has had a hand in as a Senator since the Election in 2000 has been a complete failure.His incompetence has made the USA,Israel and the world LESS SECURE.

thanks for the hard work.  I sure as hell didn't work as hard as you (working 2 jobs to make ends meet kinda prevented me from doing that.  At least I can take solace in the fact that me working 2 jobs is 'uniquely American'.)I'm pretty sure there weren't many people wh odid.  You were all over the place.

We will kick Joe's ass today.  I already voted and I'm sure many others will vote for Ned as well.  Your hard work was not in vain.  You and the rest of you guys are true fighting Connecticut Yankees.

BTW this sign is hanging up overlooking Rte. 7 in Danbury, right across the highway from the Danbury Fair Mall.  Somehow I doubt it will be taken down anytime soon since it was a fucking bitch to get up.  Or so I heard.

And DLC Dems have done a poor job of explaining simply and plainly that the Rethug chickenhawk chest-puffed-out act is A) false patriotism B) responsible for a FAILED Iraq C) a dangerous path for our nations security and well being  and D) undermines our economy, education, health care, infrastructure, jobs, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

But no longer! When the gates are crashed and busted off their hinges, historians will look back and say that Connecticut led the way with a jolt of NEDERGY!!!

Here's Joe Lieberman on TV, quitting the race.

I have such fond memories of Lieberman's campaign. Actually, it was never the Lieberman campaign. It was the Joe campaign. The Web site was www.joe2004.com. The campaign vehicle was the Joemobile. The blog was www.blogforjoe.com. Why the Joe theme? To identify with the average Joe, I suppose. And maybe because the folks at the Lieberman campaign thought the name Lieberman sounded, well, a bit too Joeish.

Joe was the heir apparent, Al Gore's right-hand man. A bit too right-hand, as it turned out. He started out the race with a presumptive seniority that might have been called, in the parlance of his campaign, PrimoJoeniture. But on the stump, voters found him Joematose. He had trouble rustling up Joenations. Antiwar Democrats in Iowa found his support of the Iraq war Joefensive. He went into a Joesdive. He was Joewhere.

In New Hampshire, however, he sensed a Joepening. All those McCain independents could vote in the state's Joepen primary. Joe set up house there and went to work. The crowds welcomed him with Joevations. He surged in the Joevernights. "Joementum!" crowed his campaign. He was Joevial.

Alas, Joeverconfidence felled him. He finished fifth in New Hampshire and was written off. He was Joast. Joadkill. D-Joe-A.

Yet he refused to bow out. The Joe must go on, he vowed. Critics said he was in Joenial, but he flew south, taking his Joe on the road. He faced down his lengthening odds with a certain Joe de vivre. Where would he break through? Joeklahoma? AriJoena? North DaJoeta? New MexiJoe? The Joe Me state?

Alas, he came up empty tonight. Joe-for-7. Joe-miliation.

Joe revoir, Joe. Joerivederci. Hasta Joe Vista. Somewhere conservative Democrats are laughing, and somewhere McCain independents shout. But there is no Joe in Mudville. Joe Lieberman has struck out.

and I almost drove off the road when they said that Lieberman was running a highbrow campaign and Lamont was only attacking.

Their station was running an attack ad from Lieberman implying that Lamont was racist!  Unbelievable.

Observations in Connecticut - and a question (0.00 / 0)

I voted this morning in Redding. Lots of Lamont signs in town and even 3 Lamont signs at the polling place. I didn't see any signs supporting Lieberman at all.

Is there any place to find exit polls before the polls close tonight. I would love to see updates before the end of the day if possible.
