This is How Joe "Reconnects" With CT Voters?

by: Maura

Sat Jul 29, 2006 at 00:17:19 AM EDT

Hmm.  Here's how Joe acts on his "Tomorrow Tour" when he is approached by a CT voter with a key question about the war:

"How are you going to get us out of this war, Senator?" I ask.

His eyes narrow. "We're working on that," he answers dismissively.

"What's your plan to get us out of Iraq, Senator?" I ask as he tries to move away, but the clutch of supporters and reporters has pressed in and there's nowhere to run.

"The war is costing us $250 million a day," I offer.

Joe noticeably relaxes as his goons have now identified the enemy. Two beefy goons force themselves between me and my Senator.

Joe mumbles "Yeah, it's tough." [...]

Boltin' Joe blows off the most legitimate and important questions of this entire primary.

And since it's not like people around the state are swarming up to Joe Lieberman eager to reconnect after all these years, how does he approach them?  What issue is most important to him on the kickoff day for his "ask me about the war Tomorrow (or some other day after August 8) Tour"?

"There's a guy from Greenwich with a lot of money who's trying to kick me out of the Senate," Lieberman told a group playing bingo at a senior center in Ansonia.

Oh, call the wahmbulance.  Meanwhile, dozens and dozens more people in Iraq need real ambulances every day, and you won't stand still for two minutes and actually answer a question about the war?  I'm fuming.

Basically, Joe Lieberman steps out of his air conditioned Peter Pan bus for staged photo ops and to tell voters with legitimate questions:  SHHHHH!

But Boltin' Joe's been telling Connecticut Democrats to "shhh" for a while now, hasn't he?

Matt, why don't you just sssh.  Listen to Joe.  Don't ask questions.

Why, here's what Sue quoted him saying on Bridgeport radio today:

Lamont followers are well intentioned and blinded by their hatred of President Bush, but they are unaware of what needs to be done to keep the United States safe.

Don't you see, Matt?  You're blinded by hatred.  You are unaware of what needs to be done to keep us safe.  So shhhh already.  Joe knows better and he doesn't need you bothering his beautiful mind with questions.

Maura you ask what must be asked.

you fight hard, fairly.

Lamont's Money, again! (4.00 / 1)
If Joe is so friggin jealous of Ned's money, why doesn't he go get a REAL job, build up his OWN business, and shut his nasally mouth !!!

Instead, he leans on lobbyists for his vacations, meals, etc, puts his wife out speaking,  pays his kids out of Campaign funds, !!!

Funny, how his wife has been begged for a very long time to go and speak for MADD, as she was a victim herself and could bring awareness, but because it is for free, she doesn't answer their calls!!!!!

the Lieberman's are Real pieces of work!

When this is all over (0.00 / 0)
he can become a lobbyist, and make loads of money.

There are dozens of pro-Israel groups just waiting for him, not to mention drug and insurance companies.
