Rasmussen: Lamont 51%, Lieberman 41%

by: Scarce

Sat Jul 22, 2006 at 16:07:57 PM EDT

Taegen Goddard is reporting that Rasmussen's new poll will have these figures for the race. The complete poll is only available to Rasmussen subscribers. Some caution should be exercised in my opinion as Rasmussen uses much smaller sample sizes than Quinnipiac and also robo-calling.

In Connecticut, Poll Shows Lamont Ahead by 10

A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows Ned Lamont (D) beating Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) in the Democratic primary, 51% to 41%.

Here's the stunning finding: In the general election, Lieberman and Lamont are tied with 40% with Alan Schlesinger (R) trailing behind with 13%.

No details as yet (0.00 / 0)
I've looked around all day without success.

You're right though, their last poll was embarrassing.

Thought about joining up with their premium access. (0.00 / 0)
But the $350 is just a teeny bit too cost prohibitive.

Social libertarian.

will bill risk it? (0.00 / 0)
will bill risk hillary?

..is quite the wag.

He notes over at CLP that in an important Rasmussen poll:

More importantly, they found that Angelina Jolie is viewed favorably by 46% of Americans.
Forty-one percent (41%) of adults are unsure if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would marry by the end of the year.

Angelina Jolie is currently filming Kung Fu Panda, a Dreamworks’ animated feature also starring Jack Black, Jackie Chan and Lucy Liu.

I'd vote Republican for her. (0.00 / 0)
Which she might ask me to do, considering I've heard rumors that she's a fan of Ayn Rand. But I'd do it.

Social libertarian.

Even thought the MOE is probably huge... (0.00 / 0)
...you can bet if the numbers showed Lieberman even ONE POINT in the lead, his campaign would trumpet the "lead" from every mountaintop!

I'm just glad it shows Lamont ahead for the primary, and the Nov. election a dead heat.  I mean, god! Who thought we'd be at this point today just a few short months ago? We went from an impossible longshot to the odds-on favorite?  Wow!
