New Ad: Look Who's Talking - George Bush or Joe Lieberman?

by: Scarce

Mon Jun 26, 2006 at 13:28:31 PM EDT

We are going on the air with a brand new commercial, and we need your help to keep it on the air. While Senator Lieberman distorts facts and outright lies about Ned’s record, we are going to hit back with the truth.

For too long Senator Lieberman has parroted Republican talking points, giving “Democratic” cover to the president’s failed policies. If it talks like George W. Bush and acts like George W. Bush, it’s certainly not a Connecticut Democrat.

Watch the commercial and help keep us on the air.

About time! (0.00 / 0)
It's about time that Ned took the gloves off and began hitting Lieberman on the crucial issues that have engendered so much anger at Lieberman.

Lieberman EARNED the title (0.00 / 0)
BUSH'S FAVORITE DEMOCRAT.WEAR IT JOE!!

Hey Joe, you still willing to repeat this Quote?

"Bottom Line, I think Bush got it right"

How about this one Joe?

"Some of my best freinds are Neocons"

or this one you used to try and excuse torture of innocent Iraqi civilians that had nothing to do with 9/11?

Noone apologized to us for 9/11.

Pissing your pants after 9/11 and allowing W to invade Iraq wasn't Leadership Sen. Lieberman, it was COWARDICE.

Hotline -- this ad will become legendary if Lamont wins (0.00 / 0)

SNIP

The ad features audio of Lieberman saying that "In matters of war, we undermine the president's credibility at our nation's peril" and "We're at a point in Iraq where war is a necessity."

If it talks like George W. Bush and acts like George W. Bush, it's certainly not a Connecticut Democrat.

If Lamont wins this thing, this ad will become legendary.

BTW: the Lamont campaign clearly wants the media to notice this ad and to broadcast it widely in their news stories. Call it a video press release. But it's very provocative.

GREAT (0.00 / 0)
I've probably watched it ten times. I love it. Well done as it's not just someone else repeating what Joe has said but in his own voice. And it reminds me also that with the KISS, Bush and Joe became one.

Did someone say the KISS? (0.00 / 0)

Kiss Me

Joe & George....(a love story)

sweet. (0.00 / 0)
it's VERY VERY good. i thought the gingrich gang from 94 played out the face-morphing technique - but hillsman put a nice touch on this one, including voicing over joe with bush. that was clever. hopefully hardball will cover it.

"The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dreams shall never die." - Teddy Kennedy

Found on Buzzflash - Lieberman deletes page from his site (0.00 / 0)
Check out the story about it here: http://nightlight.typepad.com/nightlight/2006/06/akljeaf_these_s_1.html

"If those in charge of our society...can dominate our ideas, they will be secure in their power. They will not need soldiers patrolling the streets. We will control ourselves." ~~Howard Zinn

"SO DO WE!!!" (0.00 / 0)
I think that little touch at the end was just brilliant. Right at the point where you're tuning out on the boilerplate "I'm Ned Lamont and I approved this message" you get a sudden burst of positive energy. That one little bit communicates a LOT. You want to BE one of those people. The campaign comes across as upbeat, creative and energized in spite of running a "negative" ad. Even the morphing of Lieberman into Bush and vice versa, the hoariest of negative ad cliches, is done in a highly original way, with a light touch.

That's first rate communications work. I hope this team ends up working with whoever we have running for Pres in 2008. This is very good stuff.
