Lieberman, "We're Next!"

by: Missy's Brother

(Joementum! - promoted by ctblogger)

Cheney has trained Chicken Hawk Lieberman very well. Lieberman is doing this now to assist John McCain's presidential election as McCain's only issue poll that's positive is that he would do a better job protecting us from terrorist than Obama. Obama scores higher on just about every other issue. Of course, Lieberman's real deep-down reason is that he gets MORE attention and television time!

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/...

Yesterday on ABC's This Week, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I- CT), chief surrogate for Sen. John McCain's (R-AZ) presidential campaign, complained that the "Iranians have consistently" refused to suspend its uranium enrichment. When host George Stephanopoulos asked if Israel should then attack Iran, Lieberman said: "That's up to Israel obviously, but I would say that obviously Israel is first in the line of Iranian fire. And it represents an existential threat to Israel. But you know who is next? The Arab countries in the Middle East and they're worried about the Iranian program and want us to ask strongly to stop it. And we're next! Because Ahmadinejad in Tehran constantly leads the mobs in shouts of death to America. And they mean it.

LOLZ! (4.00 / 1)
Because Ahmadinejad in Tehran constantly leads the mobs in shouts of death to America. And they mean it.

I've only seen the "Death to America" chant on TV once in the past year... it looked like a group of Iranian military officers sitting down with clerics. It may have been on Frontline's profile of Iranian Shi'a taking the pilgrimage to Karbala. Anyway, the chant was the complete opposite of a fiery angry crowd chant. It was more like a retirement community singing a Glenn Miller song... their hearts just weren't into it. Maybe Lieberman knows other Iranians who mean it, but these officers sure didn't.

"There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning." - Warren Buffet

the chants are the same as Lieberman (0.00 / 0)
JUST for the TV cameras!

Ahmedinejad really would like to attack us . . (4.00 / 1)
. . . and I'd really like to play shortstop for the Red Sox.  Trouble is, I don't have to ability to do so.  (Apparently, neither does Lugo, but that's another topic.)  Likewise, I'madinnerjacket may want to desroy Israel, the Arab countries, and the US, but he lacks the capacity.  Under the Iranian constitution, he has no power; he's just a figurehead.  Interesting that a Serious Foreign Policy Expert like Joly Hoe is unaware of that fact.

If someone knows why Lugo is getting $9.25 mil this year (0.00 / 0)
...I'd really like to know. The guy is hitting .233 away from Fenway and at 32 is having the worst fielding year of his not so auspicious fielding career.

Lieberman's next (4.00 / 2)
As in, the "next" senator to be stripped of his chairman's position and assigned a special place as the biggest three-time loser in American politics.

Joe, you could have walked away with some dignity after the primary in 2006, and everyone would be saying what a classy guy you were.

Now, your legacy will that of a sad joke and a bitter loser.

It couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

Lieberman's Highest/Lowest Approval in CT (0.00 / 0)
High Sept 21, 2000 80%/14

Low July 1, 2008 45%/43

For most of this past decade Lieberman was in the high 60's/low 70's. Then he went off the rails, attacking democrats with op eds in the WSJ. And then a guy named Lamont got fed up. The rest is history.

Where is the fact check? (0.00 / 0)
Because Ahmadinejad in Tehran constantly leads the mobs in shouts of death to America.
Is there any evidence of this? Ahmadinejad got himself in lots of trouble for saying he wanted Israel gone from the map. I would think if Ahmadinejad EVER said anything like Lieberman is saying it would be huge news. If Ahmadinejad DIDN'T say it then Lieberma is a stone liar and should be called out on it.

LMAO (0.00 / 0)
and just who should call him out on it?

The corporate media?

You mean the former Bush stenographers who now are McSame stenographers?

Maybe the AP? snark

This is the same guy who promised to help elect a Democrat just two short years ago. Now the Senator he mentored is at the head of the ticket and he lies about him.

If Lieberman is opening his mouth he's lying. It's not only not news, it's expected.

The question is not what you are, we already determined that, we are now negotiating price.
