I've not gotten any emails or seen anything on the CCAG or COW's website.. just the front page post on MLN and the mention on OrientLodge.
but yea, it would be a must do event (for me anyhow) .Adding Another Dimension of Vituperation Toxicity to Blogging since 1999!.
I can't imagine they're going to deny a permit for protest everywhere in the town, so something is going to happen.
CT to Get Two War Criminals for the Price of One by lao hong han [Subscribe] Sun Apr 20, 2008 at 01:31:46 PM PDT Reports are just starting to come in at the Iraq Moratorium website on Moratorium Day #8, just two days ago. The folks in rural Cornwall, CT are still polishing their report on their Third Friday program which was addressed by a Republican State Senator, but they wanted me to pull the collective DKos coattail to another bit of news. It appears that President George W. Bush will be holding a fundraiser in Kent, CT, the posher town to Cornwall's immediate south on this coming Friday. "Kent? I never heard of Kent. Why Kent?" I hear you ask. Because Kent is the home of the Bush bash's host, none other than Henry Kissinger! So if you are a lurking Republican, by all means don't settle for the thousand buck tab to get in the door. For a mere ten large, you can get your photo taken with two generations of war criminals, world class war criminals I think you'd have to call them. And it all goes to help some bozo named David Cappiello, who is trying to win back CT 05 from the Democrats, in the person or first term Representative Chris Murphy. lao hong han's diary :: :: Of course, some folks from the Iraq Moratorium: Cornwall Edition, as they call themselves, will be outside to protest. As, they expect, will many others mobilized by CT Opposes the War, a statewide umbrella group, and by word of blog (for instance, the splendid My Left Nutmeg). And you too, they hope, if you are a resident of Connecticut or, presumably, a neighboring state. Where you want to be is at 50 Henderson Road in Kent, starting at 9AM and staying until 1 PM or so. The hour may well have been chosen to limit the number of protesters. Try and make it.
