Chris Shays-embarrassing once again

by: kwhitehead

Wed Feb 13, 2008 at 16:15:26 PM EST

(I'm sure we will have video soon - also audio and our video from a local sports commentatator who doesn't think much of Shay's performance, to say the least. - promoted by Jon Kantrowitz)

Can someone more technically adept than I please upload the video of Chris Shay's "performance" this afternoon at the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing?

Most of those on the committee appeared respectful and impartial, including an excellent line of questioning by Rep. Chris Murphy. When it comes to Chris "Bulldog" Shays turn he does nothing but browbeat Brian McNamee, referring to him as a "drug dealer" over and over again and not allowing McNamee to respond.

It appears Mr. Shays had nothing of substance to add to the proceedings so he treated us to a display of his "toughness." Really embarrasing stuff.

His display was so bad that, near the end of the session, Rep. Waxman actually apologized to McNamee for some of his colleagues behavior.

Forget Chris Shays for a moment...how much of a dummy is Roger Clemens?

Way to dispel those "dumb jock" stereotypes, Rog!

Here's the morning and afternoon hearing video.

Chris Shays starts at 1:05:00 in the afternoon video.  Nothing exciting; piling on to the "bad guy".  Chris Murphy is around 50:45 in the afternoon video.

The transcript and video will eventually be on the Oversight page.
