I hope somebody can get the transcript up as soon as possible.
I was radio surfing in the car and heard Hannity say that Lieberman would be on at the top of the hour. (5 pm.) And LIEberman was.
Apparently Joe had just gotten back from Iraq and made the claim that
1. the "surge" was being fully implemented this week and next
2. You could really see the improvements.
3. He could see marketplaces all over.
*****4. This was much different than December when he said they couldn't go out of the Green zone.
5. 90% of the terrorist attacks in Iraq are done by Al Qaeda.
6. The Sunnis are joining the Americans.
It's the 4th comment that deserves the most attention b/c if I recall, Joe claimed everything was rosy a few months ago. However the short term answer called for justifying "the surge" and LIARMAN thought that the way to defend the surge was to contrast now and December of 2006. But what did LIARman have to say back then.
As for #5, there was no operative Al Qaeda in Iraq prior to Bush's invasion but LIARMAN is trying to use this to justify our troops being there.
As for #6, it's Bin Laden who is trying to fund the Sunnis against the Shia and it's the AMericans who are being killed by Sunni, Shia, and yes even some rogue Al Qaeda groups.
LIARMAN has no integrity and no character whatsoever.
