Richardson Ad Hilarious!

by: Connecticut Man1

Thu May 10, 2007 at 13:04:32 PM EDT

I opened up Crooks & Liars (After starting my day at MLN) as per usual and saw this...
Governor Bill Richardson's  new ad just hit the airwaves, and it's freaking great. Informative, original and hysterical.

It is a great ad and WAY TOO FUNNY!
I think he may have outsnarked some of the best...

Yes they are funny and snarky (4.00 / 1)
Good use of the job interview plot.

he's actually a great candidate (4.00 / 1)
at this point, I think he's the one I'd support (ducks to avoid stuff thrown by rabid Kusinich Kusinich Kucinich  supporters). He's solid.

I was discussing this with someone yesterday in the supermarket and for some reason Richardson completely slipped my mind until the checkout girl mentioned him. I was suprised that she was even listening (I was talking to my neighbor). Turns out, the girl is one of those young  (18? 19? y.o.) Hispanic supporters that hopefully will turn out next election.

..and support Richardson because he's solid, not because he's hispanic.

One can hope.

Richardson came across well in these commercials, but he flopped in the first debate (4.00 / 1)
He'll have to do better in the next debate.  I wasn't happy with him supporting anti-abortion judges.

YEP (4.00 / 1)
The " I didn't want to go too hard on Gonzales because he's hispanic was probably the dumbest thing said in the debate. The fact he really thought there was nothing wrong with that almost disqualifies him from getting my support.

The situation reminds me of Lieberman tryig to justify his voting to confirm Condi Rice for Sec Of State to a group of Dem Town Chairman by saying " I thought it would be nice to have a black woman as Sec Of State of the United States  being on the evening news every time she visited a foreign country for the next few years" as one of the reasons he voted for her confirmation.

COMPETENCE is a little more important I would think.

he " I didn't want to go too hard on Gonzales because he's hispanic

Source? I could not find in the transcript.

I like Richardson because he's strong on foreign policy.. there are few candidates that have such a good record (and yes I knew about this before the little YouTube ad). And he's not as poliarizing as other Dem wannabes. I'm tired of all this H8-ing, it really takes away from whats important. I blame not only Bush for this divide, but all the Bill Oreilleys/Glenn Becks and of course the granddaddy - Limbaugh.

If I'm saying President Gingrich in two years I'm seceding.. or moving (okay moving..I'm not sure I can secede. although my black cat Oscar has volunteered to be Secretary of Defense to keep the Nolopro-dom safe from rodents of all shapes and sizes.)

Gingrich has as much chance as Kucinich (0.00 / 0)

So I guess you'll be staying. But, how would feel about a President Obama or President Rodham Clinton?

The arc of history is long, but it bends toward justice. --Martin Luther King, Jr.

I never thought Rudy G would be leading the pack... (0.00 / 0)
..and Kerry? What the hell happened there that HE got the nomination in 2004?

Obama is too much of an unknown for me to be 100% comfortable. He's smart and a great orator, but it's a tough job and I'm not sure he's got the battle scars to weather the storm.  Clinton, while I think she's a brilliant administrator,  has too much baggage.  And I'd say 75% of it is her husband, unfortunately. He seems to be a 'love 'em' or 'hate 'em' kind of guy. I think he was terrific. Good president, crappy husband.

Of course one could speculate if Bush was getting blowjobs maybe he wouldn't be so angry as to invade countries without cause. Sex is a good stress relief, you know.

Obama & Clinton are head and shoulders above ANYONE that the Republicans have pulled out of their a$$.

I can't believe so many Republican wannabes DON'T BELIEVE IN EVOLUTION. I mean.. WTF?????
