Giuliani Would Put CT Into Play

by: rob

Thu May 10, 2007 at 12:55:23 PM EDT

A new Quinnipiac poll shows that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani currently leads in general election matchups in Connecticut.

http://bluesunbelt.c...

Giuliani 48%, Clinton 42%
Giuliani 44%, Obama 42%
Giuliani 45%, Gore 42%
McCain 40%, Clinton 47%
McCain 38%, Obama 46%
McCain 41%, Gore 45%

"Connecticut voters credit New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani for his role in the 9/11 recovery," said Quinnipiac University Poll Director Douglas Schwartz, Ph.D.

"This follows the pattern of another neighboring state, New Jersey, where Quinnipiac University polls show Giuliani running strong," Schwartz added.

2 words to kill Giuliani in CT (0.00 / 0)
"Bernie Kerick" and constantly remind folks of his ties to the Mob and how Giuliani promoted him to police chief and recommended him to the Bush Admin for head of Homeland Security.  Even the Bush Admin could not back Kerick.  Shows how bad a judge of character Rudy is.

I have a right leaning friend who was excited about Rudy.  She nicknamed a new horse after him.  Then I reminded her about Rudy's transvestite larks, which I found humorous.  She didn't.  And then I reminded her of Bernie Kerick and his ties to the Mob.  Her enthusiasm cooled after that and she renamed the new horse Rowdy.

And I also reminded my friend about Rudy's divorces (0.00 / 0)
and how he treated his previous wives.  She didn't like that either.

That's the key to beating Rudy -- show pictures of his transexual larks, remind people of how he treated his previous 2 wives and remind them about Bernie Kerick.

Another suggestion (0.00 / 0)
Remind or inform these Rudy leaners how he scooped up debris and remains of vistims of 9/11 from the WTC site and dumped it into the Fresh Kills landfill.  Tell them how remains of the 9/11 victims are now being used to fill potholes and how even the NYC firefighters hate the guy and won't endorse him.

I don't wanna go back to Giuliani Time

:(

Unfortunately, that may be a big plus for G in some circles in my backyard (Danbury)

heaven help us all.

According to Doug Schwartz (0.00 / 0)
"Joe Lieberman has nothing to worry about in the 06 Democratic Primary as he enjoys almost 70% approval among registered Democrats"

I wonder (0.00 / 0)
If Bloomberg gets into the race, how quickly will Schwartz come out with a statement that sucks up to him???

"There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning." - Warren Buffet

within seconds (0.00 / 0)
and I still think Bloombergs going to get in.

Watching McCain first and now Rudy melt down has to be making the chances even better he puts up a measley 500 million and jumps in.

Bloomberg (0.00 / 0)
Re-launched his website this week. That only happens when he runs for something.

http://www.newsday.c...

Though American media is rather coy about this, or swear up and down "he's not running" several British papers are convinced Bloomberg is gearing up for an independent run. I'm inclined to agree.

Bid for presidency comes at a sweet time for Bloomberg (UK Telegraph)
