Weiner is good people (4.00 / 1)
He was my Rep when I lived in NY.  I really hope he runs for Mayor again someday.

What part of Noo Yawk is he from? (0.00 / 0)
I absolutely loved it.  Leave it to a Noo Yawkuh to show Democrats how to fight back!!  I just hope he's a Mets fan!!

Go get 'em, Congressman!!  I hope next time his slip of the tongue moves him to call it the "Repugnant Party"!!

His district covers parts of Brooklyn and Queens (0.00 / 0)

So he is a Mets fan!! (0.00 / 0)
I just knew I liked this guy!!

Poll stood while he was there for Farrell (4.00 / 1)
And I thought, "Who is this slickster who thinks everybody knows who he is and cares?  Some dude from New Yawk campaigning in Stamford?"

Well (grin), he's got a lot more going for him than I knew or suspected. Nice job, Rep. Weiner.  I cannot hear him say "Republic" party often enough, and the stuff in between the term "Republic Party" aint too shabby, neither!

You have outdone yourself,  scarce, which is extremely difficult to do.  Please accept alms of freshly baked chocolate cookies and frosted valentine hearts through the internet tubes.  (I think you will have to press "print").  Alas, passing glasses of milk through the internet tubes turns out to be prohibitively messy.

uh, an attempted past tense for "poll standing" -- the palm card thing? n/t (0.00 / 0)

No comprendo, Senora (0.00 / 0)
You mean he went out on election day to the polls and urged voters to vote for Diane?  Sorry I'm so thick.

[ Parent ]
You're not thick. In a word, EXACTLY. Fish church, Stamford. n/t (0.00 / 0)

That May Be The Best Ever (0.00 / 0)
response to the idiotic "Democrat" party usage!

Now if we can just get... (4.00 / 2)
Dr. Orman (chairman, CFL party) to stop saying "Democrat" Party, we'll have REALLY made some progress! :)

This guy rocks! (0.00 / 0)
Everything he said was right on point, too.  Republics realize that they have no intellectual legs to stand on when it comes to real issues, so they have to resort to Pelosi's plane or Chappaquiddick or Monica Lewinsky.

HIGH ALERT!!!! (4.00 / 1)
Ned Lamont is going to be live on FireDoglake.com at 11:00 am PT/2:00 pm ET.

Is it just me? (0.00 / 0)
Or did he sound like Jon Stewart? I thought I was watching Comedy Central. :-)

The arc of history is long, but it bends toward justice. --Martin Luther King, Jr.

As goes CSpan, so goes Comedy Central (0.00 / 0)
You couldn't make this stuff up. The more I listen, the more incredible it gets.

Well, real life is imitating "The Onion" (0.00 / 0)
I mean, back in Jan of 2001, there is a now-famous Onion where it has Bush saying "Our long national nightmare of peace & prosperity is over" where he promised to use tax cuts to drive up the deficit and to get us into at least 1 war in the Middle East.

Then, about 2 years ago, the Onion had an article about how they announced our Iraq exit strategy - through Iran.

[ Parent ]
Funnily enough . . . (0.00 / 0)
Weiner was actually Stewart's roommate in New York 20 years ago. And he's the only politician whose campaigns Stewart has contributed to. I kid you not.
