Jane Hamsher: "Back In The Saddle"

by: BranfordBoy

Fri Jan 26, 2007 at 19:24:56 PM EST

As you may know, Jane Hamsher recently unerwent surgery for a recurrence of breast cancer. Today there's good news.

First off, I'm happy to report that I'm doing really well, surgery was very successful and I'm recovering very quickly thanks to all the people who have stepped up to help and all of the good wishes and prayers that came my way in the past week.  It's hard to know where to begin the list of thank-yous.  Much love to Digby and Tom Swan who got me to the hospital and held my hand waiting for surgery (they claim I was cussing Dick Cheney as I was going under but I have no recollection of it), then sat an 8 hour vigil til I came out and were there in the ICU when I woke up.  It was a loooong day that only a true friend would devote and I cannot thank them both enough.

Best wishes for a continued and speedy recovery!

Our Tom Swan? (0.00 / 0)
Wonderful uplifting post by Jane Hamsher.  Is that our Tom Swan, of Lamont campaign fame?

I'm happy to hear that Jane is on her way to recovery. Given the recent hardships suffered by her, Maura, and spazeboy's mom, if I were a superstitious person, I would think that the evil sorcerer, Joe Lieberman, cast some kind of black magic over his arch foes in the Lamont campaign.

Anyway, my prayers are with Jane, Maura, and spazeboy's mom--hopefully, our prayers are strong to overcome this darkness.

It is really hard to make it through a hospital stay without people who will watch your back while in a hospital, take care of your pets (or kids), and generally provide support and vigilance.  My hat is off to those in the MLN community who helped take care of Jane.

How can I forget everyone who has helped Maura and spazemom?
