i believe connecticut needs to:
a) pass a state law requiring the governor to appoint a member of the same party to any office that falls vacant;
b) really press the alleged investigation of joe's slush fund;
c) if the investigation shows the election lawbreaking that seems indicated, push congress to either censure or expel this miserable, bloviating charlatan, a la tom dodd. except in lieberman's case it would actually be deserved.

p.s. anyone who voted for him--did you really want to appoint the decider's chief cheerleader, or were you foolish enough to think lyin' joe actually did want the war to end?

There are consequences for elections. Democracy requires paying attention. Anyone who thought this guy was anything but a warmongering idiot is delusional (perhaps as delusional as Lieberman).

That said, I completely agree that there needs to be pressure to marginalize - and the $400k is a good place to start. This guy is a dangerous to national security as bush.

If we "can't" outright recall him then censure is a course.

but as far as being marginilized, LIEman's already there.  Every leftie program I catch has been trashing his spew every day, and everyone but faux news speaks his name like they are puking bile.  Hmmm, kinda the same way I say it.  Anyway, he's become a buffoon, and last night simply ensconced and continued that trend.  I do agree that it would be terrific to remove the LIE cancer, but changing the CT replacement statute first would be preferable.
