This e-mail just came in from Lieberman--
Dear spaze,

If you are looking for a fun and easy way to be part of the campaign action and show your support for Joe, have we got an offer for you!

Come join us for the New London Day-League of Women Voters U.S. Senate debate on October 23rd at the Garde Arts Center in New London. The debate starts at 8 p.m. and will be televised by Channel 8.

The Day still has a limited number of general admission tickets available. You can pick them up at the following locations on Monday:

The Garde Arts Center box office (325 State Street)
The Day's New London office (47 Eugene O'Neill Drive)
The Day's Norwich office (457 West Main Street)
Groton Public Library (52 Newtown Road)
Waterford Public Library (49 Rope Ferry Drive)

There was a bit more, but I trimmed it.  All five of these locations will probably have tickets (40 tickets each?)...I wonder if they all open at the same time?

Could someone get tix at the Norwich office and then zip over to a library for more?  Maybe.

Er, Branford Boy (0.00 / 0)
I linked to a senatorial candidate from my latest diary, and I think it might have crashed his web page.
Lorenzo offers his apologies if he had anything to do with it (remembering the Lieberman fiasco).

Dad made a trip to the Day New London office this morning . . . NO TICKETS! He was told the tickets were available a week to a week and a half ago. They no longer have any.

("A" wanted them. begged for them. i better be credited for the effort, son.)
was told that they were available over a week ago and are long since gone.
(should have called and confirmed their availability)

i assume somewhere joe is laughing his ass off.

I got the same BS (0.00 / 0)
I was the first one there at the Day office in New London.  The woman at the front desk said she had a stack of tickets a week ago but that they were all gone.

From reading some of the BS from this newspaper I wouldn't be surprised if those tickets were all given to Lieberman's people.

Joe Lieberman and George Bush believe that our govt should cut and run on capturing Osama Bin Laden so that Bush and the neocons could invade Iraq. Despite no Wmds and no links to 9/11, Lieberman supports that decision.

My friend went to The Day's office in Norwich today. They had 5 left but (0.00 / 0)
would only give 2 per person.

I got mine this morning from the Garde (0.00 / 0)
They had 4 left when I got there at 9:15 and they let me have two.  Phew.
