Lieberman Recruits Outside Agitators, Wants You To House Them

by: BranfordBoy

Spazeboy gets mail from Sean Smith.

From: Sean Smith, Campaign Manager
Subj: Final Push to Victory!

With less than a month until Primary Day, our offices around the state are buzzing with energy.  Friends like you have turned out to volunteer on weekends, after work—even during your lunch break! Thanks so much for all you do.

Senator Lieberman is a national figure, and our fight for Connecticut's future has taken on national importance.  Volunteers are signing up from around the country to help re-elect Joe, and most of these folks will be driving up and flying in the weekend before August 8th.  Can you help these hard workers by giving them a place to stay?

Let us know if you can contribute supporter housing for a volunteer!

These volunteers are giving up vacations and weekends to fight for the future of Connecticut.  Please welcome them while they're here.

Let us know if you can contribute supporter housing for a volunteer!

Your contributions of time, hard work, and financial support keep us going every day.  Thanks again, and I hope to see you on the campaign trail.

Sean Smith
Campaign manager

Joe must be in real trouble... (0.00 / 0)
seeing they have to recruit people outside of CT to get involved with his campaign. Could it be that Joe's CT people are jumping ship on him???

To be fair (0.00 / 0)
Lamont's campaign sent out a similar email to potential out-of-state volunteers the other day.

Although there's no question Lamont's volunteers and staff are more local, more motivated, and more numerous than Lieberman's, which is shocking for an upstart challenger going up against a 3-term incumbent.

They did? (0.00 / 0)
I didn't get that email. And I have an empty guest room!

sorry (0.00 / 0)
I believe they only sent one to OUT-of staters, asking if they wanted to come volunteer. (Not in-staters, asking if they would host).

This shows how desperate (0.00 / 0)
Joe is to not be a party of one.

Joe (0.00 / 0)
How does this relate to Connecticut for Lieberman?  Should it be: Paid out-of-staters for Lieberman?

Come on up, the voting's fine (0.00 / 0)
I wonder if he wants to quarter his troops here in time to get them registered as voters in "Connecticut for Lieberman."

Let facts be submitted to a candid world... (0.00 / 0)
Joe just can't restrain himself from proving what a Tory he is, can he?

Sounds to me like one of the beefs the real patriots had with the original King George:

For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
OK, so they're only armed with Lieberyouth T-shirts, but still.

I guess they have so little support (0.00 / 0)
that the need to fly people in from where? like Texas or somthing?  Hey, maybe Bush will come in, he can stay with me!

come blog with me at Net Roots Movement

What is Sean paying? (0.00 / 0)
I mean, if he's going to give the money to anyone...

That is, unless Sean is only recruiting Republicans and Unaffiliated.

Would we get to keep the thundersticks?

Will Tom DeLay Send the "Texas Strike Force"? (0.00 / 0)
Let's face it, Joe's campaign looks more and more like a Karl Rove operation every day. It's a campaign founded on deception and lies. All he needs to complete the picture are Republican-ish operatives flown in from other states to intimidate Lamont's voters, just like they did in Texas and Ohio. I'm not saying that's who Sean Smith sent his e-mail to. But the way that campaign is behaving, nothing would surprise me.

Though if they fly in more Lieberyouth, I think "moonies" would be a more apt comparison.

Meanwhile, wasn't it Joe who was, just a short time ago, claiming that Ned was the one whose support was so weak in CT that he had to go begging for help nationally? And hypocrite is spelled how?

There is someone dumber than Sean Smith (0.00 / 0)
Lieberman's Volunteers (0.00 / 0)
Is the RNC supplying these people?  I cannot believe there are enough people outside CT who care anything about Joe and would help him voluntarily.
