Schlesinger Burning Mad At Joe

by: BranfordBoy

Sat Jul 01, 2006 at 06:53:24 AM EDT

Poor Joe. Seems like Alan Schlesinger -- the other anti-war candidate -- doesn't like him either.

Schlesinger handed out small American flags on the Green to anybody who would take one during a mid-day stop here in his campaign for U.S. Senate. He told everyone who took a flag how Lieberman voted against a proposed constitutional amendment to protect the flag from desecration.

"It failed by one vote, Joe Lieberman's vote. I am going to be there next time," Schlesinger told Nick Stanziano.

Perhaps Schlesinger will vote to impeach Bush for his flag desecration

_Bit of a stretch_ (0.00 / 0)
The proposed flag-burning amendment was just a cheap diversionary "red-meat" issue intended to get the attention off more relevant but difficult issues. While I certainly am NO fan of the DINO, I agree with his no vote. I think we have enough to hoist Joe on already...

And in other news, how about that new Bin Laden propo? I heard he's been dead for years, now. Perhaps that's why they chose to show just a still photo of him. And the timing of this release; Karl certainly can influence how and when news reaches the American people. For example, The New York Times has just this week disclosed that administration representatives slowed the release of reports about the bank transaction monitoring that is going on in the name of the "war on terror." And the same was true of reports released a few months back about the NSA eavesdropping on Americans' communications without FISA court oversight.

republicans and their flag loving bullshit all need to burn in hell. i love how we in this country fight about nothing. this issue I'M SURE, is more important than the men and women fighting in iraq, the devastated citizens of the gulf coast, and the sagging wages for america's poor. good job alan, you'll make a great sycophant for the republican whores in washington. too bad you'll never get there.

Joe Goes GOP (0.00 / 0)
What about Joe being offered the GOP nod if he loses the primary?  He won't have to get signatures and the Rell-Lieberman top of the ticket virtually ensures that Shays, Johnson & Simmons hold their seats.

I seriously doubt Lieberman would go GOP (0.00 / 0)
By being Indy, he can pretend to be bipartisan.  If he goes GOP, then he plays right into the stereotype about him.  Most Democrats would shun him and left-leaning Independents most likely will too.
