Mr. Lamont Goes To Washington

by: Scarce

Wed May 31, 2006 at 11:09:51 AM EDT

For the obvious similar plotlines I've taken the liberty of creating a little pastiche. The accompanying quote is what I've used in the YouTube version of the original trailer for Mr Smith Goes To Washington.

Frank Capra's beloved film about a political novice who goes to Washington, D.C. as a junior Senator and finds nothing but deep-rooted corruption. Absolutely refusing to submit to cynicism, he tirelessly takes the message of the American people right to their out-of-touch representatives.

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
(The more things change, the more they remain the same.)

Apt Analogy (0.00 / 0)
Whenever anyone asks me what Ned Lamont is like, I usually say Jimmy Stewart. I think its an apt analogy.

Ah, jeez Scarce... (4.00 / 3)
...you cost me two hours of my life editing that trailer for my blog.  It was such a great idea of yours that I had to steal it and run with it.  Check it out...
