State Central Gets Played For A Sucker

by: BranfordBoy

Mon Sep 13, 2010 at 17:58:39 PM EDT

Connecticut Bob is reporting on what appears to be a well-orchestrated campaign to pack the Blumenthal-McMahon debate with Tea Party whackos.

And he's right on the money here:

What isn't acceptable is that the State Democratic Party allowed this debate to be held by a notoriously right-wing news channel, when there are so many much more fair news outlets who could have sponsored it. The very fact that Fox allowed people to grab up to four tickets each (I don't recall ever being allowed more than two tickets for a debate) probably indicates that they knew they only had to have about a dozen people on line at each location to have all the tickets go to Linda McMahon supporters.

WTF is wrong with State Central? Hasn't the time come, at long last, for new leadership?

Whoa, I would have stood in line (0.00 / 0)
But nobody even told me the tickets were being made available in this manner.

Am I wrong, or aren't the two campaigns generally given their own tickets, (in equal amounts), to dole out to their own supporters?

This really stinks!

Debate tickets (0.00 / 0)
I checked at the Waterbury Silas Bronson Library, which was distributing tickets, this afternoon.  They said that their tickets went quickly this morning. Probably went to mostly Tea Partiers.

I Got Tickets This Morning @ Bushnell (0.00 / 0)
Chris Healy and McMahon staffers beat me to the first five slots in line. There were Malloy staffers and others from my DTC there to get tickets for the Ds and people of unknown origin farther back that I didn't talk to. Also at around 9:45 (doors opened at 10) a yellow school bus dumped about 30 people into the back of the line to siphon up whatever was left.

Not sure about Blumenthal but I think as far as the gubernatorial debate goes, it fits with Dan's debate narrative that he would accept the Fox debate. Don't forget, Dan has experience going on and crushing Fox News shills. http://video.foxnews.com/v/392...
