Linda McMahon, our "next U.S. Senator for the great state of New York!"

by: Scarce

Wed Aug 11, 2010 at 17:49:19 PM EDT

Ted Mann at The Day caught state Sen. Len Fasano in this curiously bungled hand-off. Hopefully it's a harbinger of things to come for the McMahon campaign. Upped to YouTube for posterity.

"So let me tell you I am honored, truly I really mean honored to introduce the Republican candidate for the United States Senate, and the next U.S. Senator for the great state of New York, Linda McMahon."

Oh dear.

Kirsten Gillibrand, watch yourself.

Her House is Close Enough (0.00 / 0)
Let them have her! Her mega-mansion is just a stone's throw from the NY border, anyways. Why not let the Empire State annex the gated community she lives in?

If only life came equipped with a rewind button (0.00 / 0)
"...from the great state of New York...oh, shit!" Click! Whiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrr...Click! "...from the great state of CONNECTICUT!"

Oh, but if it were possible!

Probably would have saved me from embarrassment a couple a' hundred times, too. Thousands, maybe.

1) Lorenzo Sunflower

2) Telling Mario Testa's sister that, once again, I got lost on my way to Testo's restaurant for Ned's night (she works at Testo's after teaching at our school). Google still shows Testo's at their old address.

3) Having to admit to her that I was arguing with my GPS - and the GPS won.

Thousands?? There aren't enough zero's me.

My only option was to blame her.

I must have done something right this week. Senator Fasano is making a guest appearance on my cable access show next week. I think I have one of the questions I am going to ask him all set after seeing this clip.

Ask Fasano . . . (0.00 / 0)
. . . if the brain fart that happened to him is the same thing that happened to Blumenthal when he misstated his military service.

My guess is that the same sort of missed neural connections are the culprits in both cases. Embarrassing? Yes, but the kind of thing that could happen to anyone . . . and in fact does.

They also found something (0.00 / 0)
about Blumenthal taking PAC money when he said he hadn't.
