A Lamont endorsed candidate, Joe Sestak, wins big in PA-Sen Dem Primary

Looks like Lamont has some coat tails or at least serves as an inspiration for guys, like Sestak, who battle the Establishment's morally questionable candidates.  Looks like Obama and his team have a habit of endorsing the wrong candidates.  I think the White House should learn the lessons of Lamont's challenge to corrupt Dem Establishment types, like former Democrat Joe Lieberman, but I fear they won't.  When Obama stacked his Admin full of Clintonistas, they distorted his view of what Real America wants.

It's nice that Sestak won but... (0.00 / 0)
I doubt very much that Lamont's endorsement was on the mind of the average Pennsylvania voter when they went into the booth.

You are probably right... (0.00 / 0)

but Ned's endorsement came at a crucial time when Sestak was just starting his campaign.

But let justice roll down like waters...Amos 5:24a

Ned is showing that he's a real Democrat who helps real Democrats. (4.00 / 1)
His star is rising nationally, as it is in Connecticut.  He's very quietly building a very strong base of support.  It's no surprise that he's the front-runner for the gubernatorial race.

Ed Rendell quote (0.00 / 0)
NYT

Mr. Rendell, in an interview in his office here, said Mr. Specter's loss should not be interpreted as part of a national trend.

Rather, he said, the race was a referendum on Mr. Specter.

"None of these results should be taken as meaning anything," the governor said as he mulled the ins and outs of the nail-biting race. "If it's about anything, it's about the difficulties of party-switching."

PA establishment/insider Dems - about as useless as CT establishment/insider Dems.

"There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning." - Warren Buffet

The key was the last commercial (0.00 / 0)
that he ran. In it he uses Specter's own words against him. It was perfect to get last minute voters pissed at being played.

That and lousy weather in the the towns where the Dem machine was running the Specter campaign were the major causes for the downfall of a party switching DINO just trying to save his job.

The question is not what you are, we already determined that, we are now negotiating price.

And don't forget, enthusiasm was on Sestak's side (0.00 / 0)
Sestak voters were more eager to go vote than the Specter ones.
