Congressman Larson to endorse Malloy

by: ctblogger

Today in Stamford, Congressman John Larson will be endorsing Dan Malloy for governor.

Seeing that yesterday's live stream of First Selectman Rudy Marconi's endorsement of Ned Lamont was popular, today, I'll be providing a live stream of today's event.

The press conference starts at 10 AM.

UPDATE: The event is over. You can watch the recorded stream below. I'll have photos and better video from the event posted later.

UPDATE 2: Here's the video...

Should be StaMford.  Just a head's up.

Clearly, this is Malloy's flailing response to the game-changing Marconi endorsement.

I can't wait until the focus is just on beating Foley, whoever we nominate.

Lamont has already been going after Foley (0.00 / 0)
In the meantime, Dan was playing second fiddle to Lamont's game changing alliance with Glassman and desperately trying to find a running mate in the wake of the Lamont-Glassman alliance.  I heard that Wyman wasn't his first choice.

Tom Foley took a lead in the polls last month after running TV ads in March and early April (0.00 / 0)
he was up 7 on Lamont and 9 on Malloy.  Lamont had to counter else Foley was going to run away with a double digit lead.  The ads Lamont ran did not attack Malloy nor did it attack Foley directly.  He was just laying out his ideas.

Recent polls show Lamont back in the lead over Foley.  Malloy also leads but barely.

Meanwhile, Malloy keeps using the same old tired Lieberman attacks on Lamont.  That proves to me, Malloy's small mindedness, pettiness, and jealousy towards Lamont.  Lieberman is also a small minded, petty, vindictive, and  malignant narcissist.  Since Malloy and Lieberman are DLC'ers, who as a group opposed Lamont's primary bid to unseat Lieberman in 2006, those traits must be common to members of that group, which is affectionately called by Progressives, "the Republican wing of the Democratic Party."

I sure do look forward to the primary.

Nancy Wyman was always Malloy's first choice for Lt. Governor. He told me so in February. His exact words (this time I remember the exact words) were: "Nancy Wyman gets Right of First Refusal".

Now, it is always possible, given your extreme view of Malloy as he-devil, that he was lying to me. But, as in my conversations with Ned, I assume the best from these candidates and can't function from a standpoint of mistrust when conversing directly with them. I can understand them using caution, but I have never felt that either candidate lied to me.

Jim Amann has never lied to me either. But I fundamentally disagree with him on every issue except unions.

Even if Malloy told you the truth, his and Nancy's sense of timing s*cks (0.00 / 0)
If Nancy was his first choice for Lt. Gov. I find it interesting that a week after Ned Lamont made public his alliance with Mary Glassman that Malloy follows Lamont's lead and makes an alliance with Nancy Wyman.  It's that "monkey see, monkey do" sense of timing that Malloy seems to excel at.  I don't know how that sense of timing will help him win the primary let alone the general election.

It will also be interesting to see how fast Nancy can raise funds for Lt. Gov in a couple weeks, since she can't use the Comptroller CEP funds for her Lt. Gov. bid.  Looks like Malloy will have to fund her campaign with his campaign's funds.

Come to think of it, you know there is one thing I like about Dan Malloy, his poor sense of timing.  Keep it up!

Hey (0.00 / 0)
Didn't those signs used to say "Wyman" on them?
