Thank you Al!

And thank you too Al (Franken).

That's what McCain says is damaging "comity"? (4.00 / 1)
It's not Tom Coburn's demand that Senator Sanders' bill be required to be read in its entirety.  That's perfectly acceptable to McCain.  And it's not a problem that the Republicans are filibustering virtually every bill that the Democrats bring forward after in 2005 demanding that an "up or down vote" be permitted on anything and everything in the Senate.  And it doesn't bother McCain that Lieberman and his Gang of Fourteen required that the filibuster only be used in "extraordinary circumstances" in 2005, but now he uses it to stop the most important pieces of Democratic legislation.  No, that doesn't damage comity one little bit.

What filthy hypocrites those Republicans are.  Absolutely filthy.

Good to see Lieberman treated with contempt.

John McCain Held the floor and could have offered time to Sen Lieberman (0.00 / 0)
From the Republicans time if he felt what Sen Lieberman had to say needed to be said but he chose not to.

Someone should ask him why he didn't make sure the Senates "comity" was kept intact by dong just that.

It would have been... (0.00 / 0)

appropriate for McCain to offer Lieberman some of his time, as GOP  Joe is more at home in the Republican caucus.

I hope Franken keeps flexing.... (4.00 / 2)
The U.S. Senate needs a Democrat who's not afraid to make a wave or two, every now or then.
