Despite her erstwhile associations with the left side of the aisle, Linda McMahon is apparently prepared to go on the air with an ad timed to President Obama's visit to Connecticut for Senator Dodd on Friday, presumably to hit both Dodd and Obama:

On the same day that President Obama is scheduled to come to Connecticut to stump for U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd, one of his GOP opponents will unleash an ad blitz.
Former wrestling CEO Linda McMahon will return to the airwaves Friday, her campaign confirmed today. Even though the election isn't until November, 2010, McMahon has already run a round of ads.

According to a source, the ad in question will cost McMahon $100,000 for one day to air on New York TV and oddly will only air for 24 hours.

I am just so incredibly offended by McMahon's candidacy in general. This vanity run where she is trying to buy the election is so unAmerican it makes me sick. And yes, I felt the same way about Corzine and any candidate trying to buy an election with their personal wealth. I am especially offended by the origins of the wealth, selling sex, sexism, violence and appealing to the least common denominator. She is a porn producer who says she makes films.

I shudder to think of how I will look my fellow Connecticut residents in the eye if she gets elected. God, I hope people are not that stupid, shallow or easily bought...I am not sure my view of humanity can handle another blow like that.
