Bishop heckled at Himes town hall meeting

I was trying to figure out which was worse: the teabaggers who shouted down this Spanish speaking clergyman who lost his health insurance, or the moron-in-a-suit who tried to rip the microphone away from the woman fighting cancer.

Those teabagger assholes value free speech only when they are the ones speaking.  

It's time for Himes and the Democrats to put an end to this political theater and get back to work. Honestly, if the Democrats can't deliver on meaningful health care reform, what good are they? We have a worsening war in Afghanistan, a corrupt financial system, and a death-by-spreadsheet health care system, and we're wasting time with these assholes in Norwalk.

It's no surprise that these people who oppose health care reform are the most ignorant, bigoted people in our community.  They think they are helping to stop reform, but they are simply exposing themselves as the ignorant extremists they are, and that revelation should cause decent people to understand that if these violent bigots are against reform, they should definitely be for it.

If you watch the video, at aprox 34-37 seconds, take note of State Senator Toni Boucher shaking her head in disapproval (along with the audience) of the bishop requesting to speak in Spanish.

She is seated in the first row along side State Senator Judith G. Freedman (or located under the Bishop's right hand in the video)

They're the exact same jerks who showed up at Sarah Palins events and  today couldn't tell you one thing that's in any 3 of the House health care reform Bills or the Senate health care reform Bill that have already  passed out of committee.

I had one of these clowns in my home right before the election because he was the helper to the guy putting in a new bathroom floor in my home.He told me flat out  "This country will never elect a nigger President,you just watch!!",and without a camera in their face the screamers in this video would use the EXACT SAME LANGUAGE today.

People like that guy and the asshats in this video had there world shattered and I'll admit I think it's a beautiful thing to witness there world collapse along with there relevence.

I was at this event, and it was clear that there was a 3-to-1 or perhaps even 4-to-1 majority on hand supporting health care reform with a public option.  This rather stunning turnout by local progressives clearly caught the angry opponents of reform off guard, and they felt compelled to be even louder and more abusive, perhaps as a defense of their delusional, ignorant world.

They booed and heckled this Hispanic Bishop.  They booed and heckled cancer victims.  They booed and heckled doctors who shared real-life stories about the inability to provide proper care for many due to insurance company and financial issues.  They booed and heckled a former insurance executive who told of his frustration in not being able to offer decent policies at reasonable costs.  They booed and heckled anyone who didn't share their ignorance, fear and prejudice.

Sociopaths -- the face and base of the Republican party.
