Chris Murphy: "On the issue of public option, Joe Lieberman is dead wrong"

by: ctblogger

Mon Jul 06, 2009 at 16:04:10 PM EDT

Appearing on Face the State, Congressman Chris Murphy correctly states why Joe Lieberman is wrong in his opposition to the public option.

You can watch Murphy's interview in it's entirety below the fold.

push Joe out (0.00 / 0)
Let's stop pretending we have a 60 vote filibuster-proof majority and push Joe out the door.

Do you think it was media/blogger harassment that got Palin to resign?  If so, how much do we have to do to get Joe to follow her?  Can we start talk of a Palin/Lieberman ticket for 2012 and get him to go on tour with her?

If we need harassment ideas, how was it legal for him to follow McCain around for over a year on our time?  Who paid for his travel?  There were questions about the legality of the hundreds of thousands paid to accessorize Palin - how about the thousands paid to accessorize McCain with Joe?

Rep. Murphy on Health Care on WNPR this morning (0.00 / 0)
This morning on WNPR, Chris Murphy gave as clear a description of Congress's evolving health care reform plan - what is in it, what it will solve - as I have heard...it's a must-read (er, listen), especially for those who are out there talking up same...you can download it on their website:

Lieberman's office is reporting public comment to be 2-1 against the public option (0.00 / 0)
Despite what the Senator might say about dissent being divisive (in this particular case, of course, since he has clearly had no problem whatsoever dissenting from his own party on numerous occasions), we need to make our voices heard.

Congressional offices do keep track to what constituents are saying, and they do pay attention to that.  It would be great to check in with Lieberman's office at the end of the month and find out that the balance had changed.
