"It's been pretty noticeable that on bills large and small, the House Republicans have been standing up and asking questions and commenting, which is normal, but the number of questions have been way beyond normal," Fleischmann said. "Repetition of questions already asked and answered, people standing up , making remarks that are a carbon copy of remarks that were made five minutes before, you add it up and it does appear that there is a concerted effort to slow down business in the House chambers."
The great windbag throws a temper tantrum and decides to stall important bills in the House with a series redundant questions.
With the GOP acting like spoiled crybabies (as opposed to acting like lawmakers who want to work for the common good of the people of Connecticut), the presence of the Party of NO at the Capitol will continue on it's long path of disintegration.
Can't wait for the elections next fall...
UPDATE: The state GOP mouthpiece puts offers this laughable statement:
With less than two weeks to go before the end of the Legislative session, House and Senate Democrats continue to waste time and resources and ignore a solution to an $8 billion deficit, according to Republican State Party Chairman Chris Healy Thursday.
"Democrats are already on vacation or making plans for a long summer," said Healy. "The rest of Connecticut has realized that a tax increase is coming and are making plans to stay close to home - before they lose it or any hope of economic recovery."
This comes from the mouthpiece of the political party that's currently stalling ALL THE BILLS AT THE CAPITOL. If Healy wants to know who's wasting the people's time, he needs only to look in the mirror.
