Shelly Sindland has Donovan on her show next Sunday

Shelly Sindland of Fox61 and fiend

She's about as impressed as the rest of us. From her blog:

Democrat Jim Amann is the latest former state lawmaker  to land a cushy, 6-figure job at  the expense of the taxpayer!' And get this, it is also a newly created position according to a spokesperson for House Democrats.
...
I am guessing two things-one,  House Democrats don't  read my blog and two,  when it comes to helping out a buddy,  it's a bi-partisian effort.

Just two days ago, I reported how former State Senator David Cappiello landed a 6 figure job working as a senior advisor  for Senate Republicans.  His job is  also a newly created position. It's actually the result of splitting one job into two.    Check out my recent post.

When Democrats and Republicans talk about how sacrifices need to be made  in light of the massive, projected budget deficit, this is just another example of how some would say-those standards don't apply to them.  Afterall,  it's only taxpayer money.

HEY, WHAT ARE FRIENDS FOR - NOW AMANN LANDS A CUSHY JOB!!

No word yet if her interview will begin with "Hey Chris, WTF??"

Hartford Courant editorial (0.00 / 0)
The people's needs are not met with such blatant political patronage; it only compounds the economic crisis the state is facing. Mr. Amann's need to triple his state salary may be met, whether to help him finance his run for governor or pad his pension.

But that's not the purpose of government.

Mr. Donovan has no real need for Mr. Amann's help. The House is overwhelmingly Democratic anyway, and Mr. Donovan was selected by his peers to replace Mr. Amann, not supplement him.

This appointment suggests instead that cronyism is free to flourish at the Capitol now that the party with the veto-proof majority fears no one.

Nah, MLN has always gone after the godless liberal media elite (0.00 / 0)
..as much as the mindless 22%'ers who are still in favor of the failed Bush presidency.

Speaking of which, Mr McEnroe gives this bit of godless liberal media advice in his blog:

If you REALLY don't like that Amann deal -- and as far as I can tell, pretty much everybody in CT except Chris Donovan seems to understand that it's wrong -- get in touch with the nearest Democratic House member and ask her or him to bring it up in caucus.
