Where's Ned Lamont?

by: LeftyLimblog

Tue Nov 18, 2008 at 16:38:40 PM EST

Where's Ned LaMont?

I'd like to find out if he will run against Joe Lieberman in 2012, because I want to start donating now.

Could local nutmeggers please let us know about the Dems who are interested in running for the US Senate in 2012?

The DC Dipshits have demonstrated today that time is a'wasting!

Let's fundraise for the next two election cycles to make sure that Turncoat Joe has an even tougher time selling out Democrats than he did last time.

Committee appears to still be functioning, though maybe someone should check in with Hartwell before mailing any checks...

He's been working hard for Democrats (4.00 / 1)
Ned campaigned hard on behalf of Chris Dodd's presidential campaign, making numerous appearances for Dodd in Iowa and New Hampshire.  Then when Dodd withdrew from the race, Ned signed on as Barack Obama's campaign chairman for Connecticut.  Indeed, on Super Tuesday, which was generally disappointing for Obama with a big loss to Hillary Clinton in California, Ned helped deliver Connecticut for Barack, the only New England state to go for him.  Ned's accomplishment in Connecticut was all the more impressive, since the state virtually constituted Hillary Clinton's backyard.

Ned has also helped found an institute on government at Central Connecticut State University.

It angered me to no end to see Dodd stick up for Lieberman after Ned Lamont worked so hard for Dodd.  And it made me ill to hear Harry Reid say that it was thanks to Lieberman that Democrats held a majority in the Senate the past two years.  No, Harry, it was because a courageous man named Ned Lamont had the guts to stand up against Bush and Lieberman and the Iraq War and showed other Democrats that they could win by showing courage that Democrats took control.  Indeed, it was Ned Lamont who sparked the entire Democratic resurgence that resulted in Barack Obama's victory this year as well.

Perhaps Ned will be chosen by President-elect Obama for an important administration position.  That would be a very smart move, and it would go a long way toward assuaging the anger of Connecticut Dems over the slap in the face that Senate Dems delivered to the state and Ned Lamont.

Centrist revisionism in action? (4.00 / 1)
Harry Reid say that it was thanks to Lieberman that Democrats held a majority in the Senate the past two years.

Once more with feeling:
No, Harry, it was because a courageous man named Ned Lamont had the guts to stand up against Bush and Lieberman and the Iraq War and showed other Democrats that they could win by showing courage that Democrats took control.

I'd like to see a diagram of the mental filtration system running in Harry Reid's brain.
